DI3Dtransfer™ 3D Shape Transfer
DI3Dtransfer™ provides a powerful Shape Transfer tool for mapping a template mesh with a desired topology and UV layout onto one of our high resolution 3D images (3D scans).
The Shape Transfer tool is quick and simple to use, a few corresponding landmarks are placed on the template mesh and the 3D scan, and that's all that's required, the software automatically 'shrink-wraps' or conforms the template mesh onto the surface of the 3D scan.
The Shape Transfer tool also allows the vertices of the wrapped mesh to be selected and dragged along the surface of the 3D scan for quick, easy and accurate positional adjustments.

DI3Dtransfer™ 3D Material Transfer
DI3Dtransfer™ also provides an incredible Material Transfer tool, for transferring texture and normal map information from our high resolution 3D scans onto a mesh with a template UV layout. This means the UV layout is effectively 'filled up' with texture and normal map information, to create a new texture map and normal map at any resolution!
The Material Transfer is simple to use and produces amazing results!

DI3Dtransfer™ 3D Morphing
Using the Shape Transfer And Material Transfer tools, you can generate meshes of many different subjects and then encode them all so that all have the same 3D geometry (a chosen template mesh) and UV layout (also from the chosen template mesh).
Using the Morphing tool, it is then possible to morph the 3D shape and texture of one subject towards another, creating a completey new subject with a new shape and texture map.

DI3Dtransfer™ 3D Psychological Morphing
Developed in conjuntion with Peter Hancock at the University of Stirling and based on a 2D Morphing technique developed by the Computer Science Department at the University of St. Andrews, the Psychological Morphing tool is similar to the Morphing above, but allows you to specify two end points that define a vector, the points of the target mesh are then moved along that vector to enhance certain traits and create characatures.
The resulting meshes are then used as visual simuli to a number of different Psychological Experiments.
